Wait! More Epoxying

Ok, I lied, there’s always more that needs to be coated in epoxy.

And to think that I have to do two more coats on all the pieces you see here. Geez, this is a monotonous part of the build.

The first picture below shows a complete view of the garage workspace. Coated and dried pieces are stacked to the right, plastic is everywhere on the ground for drips or laying parts out for epoxying, and to the left I have a couple of 2x4 stringers across two sawhorses that let me hang multiple pieces at once to dry (mostly bulkheads).

After all the epoxy was put on, I then decided to lightly sand all of the pieces. (This I’ll do again, but probably not until after I’ve put both of the remaining two coats on.) The sanding was a lot of time spent with my buddy my random orbital sander, so I setup the big tent on the driveway and dragged my work bench out there. Also helped keep the dust down in the garage itself.

Next up, organize the garage again and now, really, start working on the centreboard and rudder.
